BROUGHT TO YOU BY OUR TGNB FOCUSED PROGRAM, THE TRANS POWER PROJECT

QUEER WORKS AND THE COACHELLA VALLEY WELCOMES YOU!

Hello! We are calling upon you to join us in our mission to help TGNB families living in dangerous states to relocate to the city of Palm Springs, which has officially declared itself a sanctuary city for TGNB people and their families

We are raising funds to relocate 15 TGNB families to Palm Springs and provide them with one year of rental assistance, relocation costs, and expenses averaging $15,000. This initiative will not only provide a safe and welcoming community for TGNB families, but also help improve their quality of life. The costs break down as:

  • $30,000 in average rent per family x 15 = $450,000

  • $2,000 in relocation costs per family x15 = $30,000

  • $15,000 in one year of expenses per family x15 = $225,000

  • $10,000 for any fees associated with campaign costs, and misc. expenses.

For each additional $47,000 raised we will be able to help one more family.

Furthermore, we are seeking your support to complete the build-out of our mobile clinic which will cost $40,000. This mobile clinic will provide free services such as rapid gender-affirming care, mental health sessions, navigation of state social service applications, legal assistance, and much more TGNB people and their families.

Please join us in supporting this crucial initiative by donating today, and spreading the word about our campaign. Your support will help us provide a safe and welcoming environment for TGNB families facing continued legislative assaults on their wellbeing in their home states. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of TGNB families and help create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Note: The trans and non-binary sanctuary program is not a city or government sponsored program. This program is developed, run, and implemented by Palm Springs-based organization Queer Works, a 501c(3). We will be using our current program methods and implementation of existing services to focus on the TGNB community, and this will be 100% private donor funded. Thank you for your support.

Please donate today.

 Sincerely,

Jacob Rostovsky, Executive Director, Queer Works
